It's Horrible Being Beaten
At school, we have a house system. You know, four houses that compete in stuff to try and win the House Cup at the end of the year, like in Harry Potter. Well, we have (for privacy I won't give the real names) red, blue, yellow and green. I'm in the red house, with my best mate, Alix. We have to do a load of house competitions in Games, like netball, hockey and rounders. The group of us that makes the red year 8 girls have never lost a house match yet. We mashed the other houses into the ground in all our games. We need to though, because boys in our house are rubbish. No team spirit! Anyway, today, we did house netball. I was centre (I don't know the rules for the other places) and we played really well but ended up losing to blue house 5-4. So next we played yellows, and we massacred them 4-0. But then we lost to the greens 4-3. That's the first time we've ever lost something. We could have won if we played inside - it's absolutely arctic today, and having to sub for half a game in a jumper, shorts and long socks really isn't nice. I was wearing the right kit, the teachers at school are just Victorian (even though the girl's games teachers are like 30). It's terrible. I suppose if we destroy the other houses at everything else this year and then we'll win the House Cup.
